Task 3 - An Inconvenient Truth

The film is a strong cry to alert people to the importance of preserving the planet we live on, and to remind them that the land is an extension of their bodies and the space occupied by each of them in this vast cosmic vacuum .It is nice from politician like Al Gore to be interested in issues of the environment and climate, whereas many of the people in power deny global warming. The goals of this film in my opinion are political and commercial .The film attempts to prove that global warming is a reality; it will be catastrophic and human activities are the main causes of the problem and to deal with this problem must be at the top of our priorities. The film has a lot of exaggerations and inaccuracies, for example, Al Gore cited the deadly heat waves in Europe in 2003, concluding that climate change will lead to more deaths. But global warming would mean fewer deaths due to extremely low temperatures. Gore points to shrinking sea ice in the Northern Hemisphere, but he fails to mention that the ice is growing in the southern hemisphere; in addition to that the film adopts one point of view and one is not exposed to views that would make him lose credibility and neutrality .
Overall the film tries to inspire us that if the Global Warming continue to increase, then we have to start from now to build large ships to escape from sea water.
